BRITISH workers feel increasingly secure in their jobs as the UK job market continues its steady recovery, despite rising worries in countries like France, according to new survey data seen by City A.M.
Just 15 per cent of people think it very or extremely likely they or someone close to them will lose their job in the next six months, according to the Ipsos Mori study taken in February.
That is down from 24 per cent last February and from 19 per cent as recently as December.
But in France those fears are increasing with 20 per cent now feeling it likely they will lose their job. Fears in Italy are steadily high at around 25 per cent, while 43 per cent of Spanish workers are worried.
Germany is far more secure with only 10 per cent concerned, while the US is similar to the UK with 16 per cent feeling likely to lose their jobs.
