UK unprepared for agency rules

Only seven per cent of UK employers have conducted an impact assessment of how their businesses will be affected by the Agency Workers Regulation, due to be introduced in October. The new rules will mean agency workers are entitled to the same pay and benefits as permanent workers after 12 weeks’ service, yet 37 per cent of employers admitted to being unfamiliar with the regulation, according to a study by <a href="http://www.randstadfp.com"; target="_blank">Randstad</a>.
