UK HOUSEHOLDS continue to feel the pinch, as new figures show that consumer price inflation grew 2.7 per cent in May 2013.

Data released today by the Office for National Statistics showed that the Consumer Prices Index had gone up from 2.4 per cent in April, impacted by rising air fares and fuel prices.

The inflation rate has returned to levels seen between October 2012 and March 2013 after the slowdown in April.
