UBC plots expansion as sales rise

Media group UBC said yesterday that revenues in the last year had risen by around 17 per cent to £3.8m. The company, which owns a host of media production firms, also said that it will kick off a new fundraising round for Audioboo, the audio-based social network it owns 37 per cent of. UBC said Audioboo was undergoing “a period of rapid growth” and that users had quadrupled in the last six months to 4.4m, suggesting it will see a healthy return on investment. However, operating losses in the year to April have risen to £600,000.
