THEATRE director Jamie Lloyd’s first full-scale production was Pinter’s The Caretaker at the Sheffield Crucible. Since then he’s won an Olivier Award, an Evening Standard award, been named a Daily Telegraph Rising Star and completed a successful associate directorship at the Donmar Warehouse. Next month he returns to Pinter with a production of The Hothouse. Starring John Simm and Simon Russell Beale, it’s the latest installment of Lloyd’s successful Trafalgar Transformed season at Trafalgar Studios. Judging by the success of previous plays in the season, Lloyd may well be adding to his extensive award collection. By Alex Dymoke
