UK FASHION retailer Ted Baker today announced a 33 per cent increase in revenue, aided by a strong performance from its online business and in international markets.
Retail sales rose 30.7 per cent over the same period of 27 January to 15 June 2013, while wholesale sales grew 41 per cent.
The company has continued to focus on international expansion, opening its first concession in France this year, alongside further concessions in Spain, the Netherlands, Shanghai and Tokyo.
Further expansion is planned in Adelaide, Beirut, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
“The group has delivered a very good result across all territories over the start of 2013,” said chief executive and founder Ray Kelvin.
“We are continuing to invest in developing the Ted Baker brand internationally and have been encouraged by the reaction to the brand and the collections in our new markets. Whilst as ever the outcome for the full year will be dependent on the second half, we remain very confident of our prospects.”
