Frank’s Cafe
This venue located on top of Peckham’s multi-storey car park has been the go-to summer drinking haunt for those in the know since it opened its doors in 2007. While Peckham isn’t known for its scenic views, the spot offers unparalleled views across London, which you can enjoy while you sip on your glass of prosecco. Run by duo Frank Boxer and Michael Davies, it’s moved from being a one-off pop-up to a regular summer fixture and after a long wait, it officially re-opens on 30 June.

Shoreditch isn’t lacking on the rooftop bar front but Boundary is one of the best. Aside from the spectacular views over Shoreditch and the City, the food in the rooftop bar and grill is pretty good too. They offer everything from Mediterranean tapas to heavy meat dishes and vegetables, which are cooked on the grill en brochette. A weatherproof pergola means you can sit outside and enjoy whatever the weather and if the skies take a turn for the worst, wrap up with the cosy blankets provided.

This popular restaurant is one of the hot new (ish) openings in the capital and definitely one to tick off your list. It occupies the top floors of Heron Tower, one of the highest buildings in London: as you can expect, you’re in for pretty good views. The restaurant, which offers top notch Japanese-Peruvian-Brazilian fusion food, has two outdoor roof terraces where you can enjoy your meal while sipping on a cocktail. If it gets chilly, retreat indoors and soak in the buzzing atmosphere.
