Swann to miss entire series against Kiwis

ENGLAND bowler Graeme Swann has been ruled out of the three Test series in New Zealand with an elbow injury. The 33-year-old was omitted from the starting line-up for the first day of the first test in Dunedin and replaced by Monty Panesar. Captain Alastair Cook said: “We felt he wasn’t able to get through five days of a Test match.” James Tredwell has flown out to New Zealand to take Swann’s place in the squad for the remaining matches. The Nottinghamshire spinner will travel to America for surgery.
