Surge in demand boosts Pinewood

FILM studio Pinewood Shepperton yesterday reported pre-tax profits of £1.3m, reversing last year’s loss of £1.9m. The studio, home to many of the James Bond films, has benefited from an rise in demand, according to chief executive Ivan Dunleavy. This year it played host to Thor: The Dark World and next year it will be used for JJ Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII.
