Sun, sand and beach volleyball at Canary Wharf waterfront

WITH the capital experiencing a mini heatwave this week, Canary Wharf workers have been kicking off their shoes and dipping their toes in the 160 tonnes of sand that have been shipped in for the City Beach Volleyball Championships. Teams of five will be competing – and raising money for charity Action for Kids – until 19 July. The Capitalist hears play continues in all weather so let’s hope it stays sunny.
