Stamp specialist gets a boost

Stanley Gibbons, the UK stamp collecting specialist, said it expects its financial performance to be in line with market expectations after its trade was boosted by a new website and the opening of a Hong Kong office. Internet sales for the second half of the year to the end of December 2012 were up 67 per cent year-on-year, and the company expects revenues derived from this channel to continue to grow. The group is set to make £5m net cash for the year, and has also expanded its business to include commemorative medals, rare coins and military medals.
