St Ives resilient in headwinds
Marketing and print group St Ives yesterday said it had seen a jump in operating profit year-on-year since the end of July, despite “broadly flat” revenues. The book publisher said it was making “good progress with our strategy to reposition the business [towards marketing] and offer an extended range of services”. It added that margins had improved in a “challenging” print business and that its £17m February acquisition of research consultancy Incite was integrating well with the rest of the business. Shares rose 3.2 per cent.
