Khan lined up for US title bout
BOXING: WBA lightweight champion Amir Khan is being lined up to make his debut in the United States in April.
The Bolton fighter is said to be in “tentative agreement” to defend his title against Argentine Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas.
The contest could be on the undercard of the Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr fight at Mandalay Bay on 17 April, although a Manchester date is still not out of the question.
YouTube to broadcast IPL games
CRICKET: YouTube will broadcast every match from this season’s Indian Premier League after its owner, Google, agreed to a two-year sponsorship deal.
The dedicated YouTube channel will feature free live broadcast, plus highlights and interviews from each of the 60 matches, spanning 45 days.
Meanwhile, Hampshire batsman Michael Lumb has agreed to join former county captain Shane Warne and play for IPL side Rajasthan Royals.
As a non-international, 29-year-old Lumb was allowed to join a franchise after Tuesday’s player auction.
Parks gets Scotland recall
RUGBY UNION: Fly-half Dan Parks has been recalled to Andy Robinson’s 30-man Scotland squad for the Six Nations games against France and Wales.
Parks was left out of Robinson’s first squads, in the autumn Test series, but has been in fine form for Glasgow Warriors this season.
He is joined in the squad by uncapped Glasgow team-mates, fellow fly-half Ruaridh Jackson and second row Richie Gray.
