Spirent falls as sales disappoint

Spirent Communications, whose technology is used to test mobile networks, saw shares fall by seven per cent yesterday as its second-quarter results revealed a sharp drop in revenues. The company, which has been hit by delays to the roll-out of 4G networks, said it expects sales in the three months to July to be 20 per cent down on the previous year at $92.7m (£60.7m), although it said it had seen a significant uptick in orders during the quarter.
