Special offers help Eurostar sales

Eurostar yesterday said special offers on some tickets helped offset the bitterly cold weather in the first quarter of the year, helping the train operator grow its sales revenues one per cent to £213m. Passenger numbers were broadly flat on a year ago at 2.23m. Chief executive Nicolas Petrovic said the figures were “an encouraging start to the year in spite of the challenges posed by both the economy and the weather”.
