Singapore looks for boost in China

Singapore’s state investment company Temasek Holdings has appointed a new head for its China operation, as it moves to boost its presence in the country. Ding Wei, an investment-banking chief at Chinese lender China International Capital, will help Temasek to become a “long term active” investor in successful firms in the country. He said: “[Temasek] has a significant China portfolio and I look forward to growing it further.”
