Sheikh urged not to quit UK

BRITISH racing chiefs insist they are not scared of upsetting Sheikh Mohammed but hope the Dubai ruler remains a key figure in the sport in this country.

Doubts over the Godolphin stable’s future have been raised after trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni was banned for eight years for doping 15 horses. British Horseracing Authority chief executive Paul Bittar said: “I’m not worried about upsetting him but I’d love to ensure he remained as keen to be involved, invest and to get enjoyment out of British racing.”
