SFO asks for more time in case

The Serious Fraud Office yesterday requested more time to file its defence against £300m of damages sought by property tycoons the Tchenguiz brothers. A defence from the SFO was due to be filed yesterday but the organisation requested an extension until Monday. The SFO dropped its probe into the brothers in October, ending a lengthy episode during which it was slammed by senior judges for “sheer incompetence”.
