SENIOR UPBEAT FOR 2011 AS PROFITS RISE

MANUFACTURER Senior, which makes products for the aerospace and industrial sectors, posted a higher full-year profit on improved margins, and said prospects for the remainder of 2011 and beyond were encouraging. Adjusted pretax profit was £65.3m for the year ended 31 December, compared with £48m last year. Sales from its aerospace division, which makes parts for the Ariane 5 rocket launcher, rose 4.6 per cent to £333.8m.
