Rolls-Royce wins new Airbus engine contract

ROLLS-ROYCE today announced that it has won a US contract to supply engines for Airbus planes.

The aerospace engineering company will supply US leasing company CIT Aerospace with engines to power 23 Airbus aircraft in total.

“As one of the largest aircraft lessors in the world, we strive to provide our customers with the most fuel efficient, technologically advanced products,” said Jeff Knittel, chief executive of CIT Transportation Finance.

“The Trent family of engines has proven to be reliable in offering high fuel and operating efficiency, and it remains in high demand among our global customer base.”
