Roaring Rossi's on cloud nine in the Malaysian rain

VALENTINO ROSSI secured a ninth world title after finishing in third place at a rain-lashed Malaysian Grand Prix.<br /><br />The Italian needed to finish in the top four to secure another title at the expense of Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.<br /><br />&ldquo;It was a difficult year,&rdquo; a relieved Rossi said. &ldquo;This race reflected how the season went &ndash; very tough, with some mistakes, some disappointing results.<br /><br />&ldquo;But I won six races, I was consistent and it&rsquo;s another world championship. I thank all the team and everyone who&rsquo;s helped me.&rdquo;<br /><br />Australian Casey Stoner won the race in his Ducati with Spaniard Dani Pedrosa second and Lorenzo fourth.
