REDROW said it has already enjoyed “a welcome boost” to visitor numbers since the launch of the government’s Help to Buy scheme in April, as it posted an upbeat set of third quarter results.

The housebuilder said yesterday the equity loan scheme has already generated significant interest from customers and expects it to increase the affordability and output of new homes over the next three years.

In the period from 1 January to 19 April, net private reservations rose 20 per cent to 1,009, driven by a 14 per cent increase in the number of outlets to 82 against 72 the previous year.
