PROPERTY consultancy firm Savills has been hired to advise on the stores of the collapsed fashion retailer Nicole Farhi.

The British fashion label fell into administration on Thursday last week more than 30 years after it was founded by the eponymous designer.

Zolfo Cooper was appointed as administrator and still hopes to find a buyer for the business, which employs 119 people and owns five stores, 10 concessions and a wholesale business.

The business, which was founded in 1982 by Farhi and her former husband, the French Connection boss Stephen Marks, became the fifth retailer in a fortnight to collapse, along with Dwell and Ark, which have both been rescued.
