LOW-COST retailer Primark is expanding into the French market and will open its first store in Marseilles in December.

The British chain will then open a second store in Dijon, according to the Telegraph.

Primark, owned by Associated British Foods, has already expanded into Europe, opening stores in Spain six years ago.

Associated British Foods’ pre-tax profits grew 25 per cent in its first half results, thanks to “very strong trading” in its Primark division.
