ONLINE sports media group Perform Group saw revenues rise 47 per cent in 2012, driven by increasing demand for streaming live football.
The company, which buys the rights to broadcast foreign football and other sports, and sells them on to news and betting websites, said rising demand and acquisitions had boosted performance.
Perform also has its own consumer offerings, such as sports websites Goal.com and Livesport.tv, which it has focused on expanding in the last year. Revenues at the group hit £151.6m last year, while pre-tax profits more than quadrupled, reaching £16.9m.
The company also announced it had bought a Dutch football website for up to €12.5m (£10.8m).
