Panmure hits Snooze on firm’s profit warning in daily update

BROKER Panmure Gordon has been singing the praises of portable hotel company Snoozebox since it floated last year.

In January Panmure chief executive Phillip Wale was positively crowing about his delight at Snoozebox’s “remarkable year” including winning IPO of the Year at Grant Thornton Quoted Company Awards.

However The Capitalist couldn’t help but notice that any mention of Snoozebox’s profit warning yesterday was strangely absent from Panmure’s morning update. But not to worry, Panmure analysts assure The Capitalist that they are likely to be rushing one out today.

■ We now know just where Google thinks our future will be, when it comes to politics at least. The internet giant has sent out invitations to its Big Tent conference at the Grove Hotel next month, where the theme for this year’s discussion is “Future: Where will we be in 10 years time?” And who have they chosen to speak alongside Google chairman Eric Schmidt? Everyone’s favourite little brother – Labour party leader Ed Miliband (pictured).
