THE roar for the start of the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle might be short lived as I think favourite My Tent Or Yours is too short a price and very vulnerable. I like the look of Puffin Billy each-way at decent odds. If it wasn’t for one forgivable blip last time out, he’d be much shorter.
Simonsig is a certainty in the Arkle so you should double him up with the other ATM of day one, Quevega in the Mares Hurdle. It usually doesn’t pay to back short ones at Cheltenham but these two do look pretty bulletproof.
The big race is the Champion Hurdle and this is the one we’ve gone to town on with a ridiculous offer of money back on all losers if Hurricane Fly wins….some may think this is because I don’t fancy Hurricane Fly, but the reality is that I expect him to win - and take our pants down in the process! The race has cut up nicely for Hurricane fans and the inclement weather only plays to his strengths.
Keep an eye on Dessie Hughes this week as his stable is flying at the moment, and I think his White Star Line could run better than his odds suggest in the 2.40pm.
