IN ASSOCIATION with Repskan.com, the media monitoring and analytics platform, City A.M. is measuring the relative Olympic media buzz around the partners for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, week by week. The leaderboard, right, reflects their ranking over the past week, in this case from Wednesday 7 December to Wednesday 14 December.
BMW features in our brand ranking most weeks and this week we saw it move up four places back into the rankings, primarily because of an Olympic-themed video posted on YouTube by BMW UK that provided uplift in online buzz; especially after it was posted on the TopGear blog. That drove hundreds of Tweets and over 100,000 views on the video.
There are also still residual online mentions about a special edition of BMW’s iMagazine App that it launched in late November and which focuses on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
