Olympic foe and Ward conqueror Lu bars Murray third round path

SECOND seed Andy Murray renews hostilities with Brit-slayer Yen-Hsun Lu, who sent him crashing out at the first hurdle of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, in the second round at Wimbledon today.

Murray admits he “learned a lot” from that defeat and, having exacted revenge at Indian Wells this year, will expect to come through unscathed against the 29-year-old, from Chinese Taipei, who beat British No2 James Ward in round one on Monday. Lu, the world No75, poses a tough test on grass having reached the quarter-finals at the All England Club in 2010, beating then-seventh seed Andy Roddick in five sets on the way.
