New Xbox aims for living room dominance

MICROSOFT yesterday unveiled the long-awaited successor to its Xbox 360, the Xbox One, which it promised would be more than simply a games console. Revealing the system to the public last night, Microsoft focused on the Xbox One’s ability as a device for accessing live TV, music and internet services as much as its gaming prowess. The console also includes innovative features such as voice and gesture control, and is many times more powerful than its predecessor. No price details were given ahead of the launch, expected later this year.
