New Royal Mail pension boss

The pension scheme of Royal Mail has appointed a new chief executive to replace outgoing boss Gerry Degaute, who is retiring. The scheme, one of the biggest in the country, has promoted its former head of funding Chris Hogg to the role. Hogg, who was previously a pensions consultant at Aon and then KPMG, will take up the reins at the end of May when Degaute steps down. Hogg was a key player in government negotiations to transfer liabilities to the state.
