Neville calls time on playing career

FOOTBALL: Former England defender Phil Neville has announced his retirement from professional football. The 36-year-old, who won six Premier League winners medals with Manchester United, intends to begin a coaching career and is currently studying for his Uefa A licence. Neville will also appear as a pundit for the BBC during their coverage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

He said: “I do enjoy the media side, but I want to work, I want to coach, I want to get more hours on the grass.”
