Neutec trio to face court

A FORMERfinance director and two lawyers involved with the takeover of Neutec Pharma by Swiss rival Novartis are facing a Crown Court trial over eight counts of insider dealing.<br /><br />Peter Andrew King, Michael McFall and Andrew Rimmington face a total of up to 56 years in prison if found guilty of wrongdoing.<br /><br />They had contested the charges at a Westminster Magistrates Court hearing yesterday, but District Judge Miss Tubbs told them they would be tried by jury in the criminal court. <br /><br />The three have been given unconditional bail and will have to appear at Southwark Crown Court on 28 October for a plea hearing. <br /><br />The case comes as part of a crackdown by the FSA, headed up by the City watchdog&rsquo;s director of enforcement Margaret Cole. Last week, lawyer Christopher McQuoid had his appeal against an eight month sentence for insider dealing dismissed. <br />
