M&S launches home energy unit

Marks & Spencer will offer 30,000 of its staff free home insulation as part of its launch of a home energy services division. The firm’s new venture will also provide bespoke energy advice as well as renewable energy products such as solar panels and heat pumps. Marks & Spencer said if all eligible staff took up the option it could lead to an annual saving of around 13,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year, the same as taking 4,000 cars off the road.
