MGM’s troubles hurt Craig

Financial difficulties at MGM studios, which is reported to have a $3.7bn (£2bn) debt, have led to fears over Daniel Craig’s future as James Bond after the latest film was put on hold. Fans are concerned that a long delay could lead Craig to walk away from the role before his third appearance makes it onto the silver screen. Producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have said they have no idea when work on the 23rd Bond would resume and there is no date for its release. The pair’s Eon Productions said that continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of film company MGM meant Bond 23 was suspended indefinitely.
