HAWKPOINT Partners is advising Arbuthnot on the Secure Trust Bank flotation process, fielding a team led by Lawrence Guthrie, managing director in its financial services team.

Guthrie has previously advised extended warranties specialist Domestic and General Group on its sale to Advent International for £542m, and helped the Manchester-based Davenham Group in its pursuit of commercial leasing and hire purchase company Manor Credit.

Also on the Hawkpoint team is Sunil Duggal, who helped software group 1st - The Exchange with the sale of a majority stake to Lloyds Development Capital.

Earlier this year Hawkpoint was the lead corporate adviser to Saint George Participations (SGP) on its potential bid for DTZ, and helped Fairfield Energy, a North Sea oil exploration company, with a failed bid to launch an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange last year.
