Mecom losses up as selloffs loom

European paper publisher Mecom reported widening losses yesterday and said it would sell some divisions. The London-listed firm, which saw chief executive Tom Toumazis leave last year, saw shares fall four per cent as it said advertising revenues had continued to decline in 2013. Mecom, whose annual losses rose from €23m (£19.6m) to €30.4m, will sell divisions in Poland and the Netherlands.
