FINANCIAL spinner Matthew Young, who was recently revealed to have received a total remuneration package at Lloyds worth over £1.2m, was dishing out advice to wannabe PR superstars yesterday.
The Lloyds Banking Group corporate affairs director spoke at the CorpComms conference in the City yesterday afternoon on the “five key attributes” that he believed corporate communicators need to be successful in their role.
The Capitalist feared that he would be a no-show, after all the recent publicity over his pay packet – fears that Young himself did nothing to allay by refusing to confirm or deny his appearance less than an hour before curtains were due to go up.
In the end Young braved the crowds and delighted his growing band of followers with his words of wisdom.
However, it seems delegates were deprived of the chance to pass any gems on via Twitter, as they were told there was a strict no Tweeting rule for the final session. Silence is golden must be one of the five key commandments.
