Jubilant Energy drills new well

Jubilant Energy has started drilling on the fifth out of six planned wells in the Kharsang Field in India. The Aim-listed oil and gas explorer announced yesterday that it plans to put the deepest oil-bearing sand on production soon from its fourth well and a further release will follow regarding the actual test rates. GeoEnpro Petroleum, a joint venture between GeoPetrol and Jubilant, operates the Kharsang Field. Despite the drilling, Jubilant’s share price closed 3.9 per cent down at 12.50p in London yesterday.
