TOULON’S Nick Kennedy has hailed fellow Englishman Jonny Wilkinson after the veteran fly-half’s match-winning turn in their Heineken Cup final triumph over Clermont Auvergne on Saturday.
Wilkinson, who was yesterday named European Player of the Year, kicked 11 points in the 16-15 win and also charged down David Skrela’s last-ditch drop-goal attempt.
“Jonny practises so hard and he deserves everything,” said former London Irish player Kennedy.
“He hasn’t missed a kick in the quarter, semi or final. He is absolutely phenomenal.”
