John Lewis flies into Heathrow with plans for new £1m store

JOHN Lewis is set to roll out a new store at Heathrow’s Terminal 2 next year after announcing plans to invest £1m in a 3,600 sq ft shop at the airport.

The new store, which will showcase many of its own-brand products, designer collaborations and exclusives, will open on 4 June 2014 and bring the brand to a new set of international customers, as well as create up to 40 new jobs.

The store will be one of 67 new outlets planned for the new terminal, which is undergoing a five year £11bn transformation. Andy Street, managing director, John Lewis said the shop complements John Lewis’ ambition of “increasing [their] international wholesale business”.

At the moment, John Lewis delivers to 33 countries outside the UK and Ireland.
