JKX chief exec re-elected at AGM

All motions were passed at JKX Oil & Gas’ annual meeting held yesterday, including the re-election of chief executive Dr Paul Davies as a director of the company. This was despite votes cast against his re-election by Eclairs Group and Glengary Overseas shareholders, who JKX attempted to ban from the meeting. The ban was overturned by a London court which questioned JKX’s legal entitlement to ban shareholders. Eclairs and Glengary had called for Davies to stand down, citing an 88 per cent fall in the group’s share price over the last five years.
