JAPAN’S Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today announced his target to increase incomes by three per cent annually, as part of the latest raft of measures aimed at putting the country’s economy back on track.

Abe said in a speech that raising incomes was a key part of his strategy to support growth, reported Reuters.

The other parts of his strategy are relaxed monetary policy and increased government spending.

The Bank of Japan aims to achieve two per cent inflation in less than two years.
