WALL manager Kenny Jackett has told his players they are not going to Wembley on Saturday to enjoy the day out, but to pull off an upset against Premier League side Wigan and reach the FA Cup final.
The Lions have tamed Preston, Aston Villa, Luton and Blackburn to reach the last four, but their recent form has tailed off having failed to record a win in three matches.
By contrast, Wigan have lost just one of their last seven games, but Jackett is hopeful his mid-table Championship team can reach their first final since 2004.
“We’ve done well to get this far,” he said. “But we want to go to Wembley on Saturday and put on a performance, one which gives us a chance of winning.”
