Yes, I was very pleased with the performance. The changes the board have made are very good. It was unfair of the FSA to [issue the fine] and when you consider what else has gone on in the industry, such as Equitable Life, it was disgraceful.
They’re fairly good results. I think [Thiam] has the most extraordinary ability. I agree that if the shares have done well, you don’t complain if the staff have done well: remuneration has got out of hand but if you want good people, you have to pay.
The shares have done quite well over the last year and the board up to now have also done quite well. [With pay] if you want the right people, you’ve got to pay the right money, although it causes a bit of friction when wages are low.
