ALL-CONQUERING former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola insists he is not afraid of the task he has accepted after being presented as Bayern Munich boss yesterday.
Guardiola faces immediate comparisons with last year’s Bayern side, who swept the board, winning the league and cup double as well as the Champions League.
“I have to be able to live with that,” said the Spaniard, who won 14 trophies in four years at Barcelona before stepping down in summer 2012.
“I am under pressure, of course, but I know this and I accept this challenge without fear and that is why I am the coach.”
Guardiola rejected overtures from Chelsea, among other major clubs, before agreeing a three-year deal in Germany.
