THERE were several familiar City faces popping up on the Queen’s birthday honours list this year.
CQS hedgie and Tory donor – not to mention former City A.M. trader of the year – Michael Hintze was among those on the thousand-long list being honoured.
Also knighted were prominent chairmen Dick Olver from BAE Systems, John Lewis chair Charlie Mayfield and chairman of Sequoia Capital Michael Moritz, who was made a KBE. Two City figures – head of UK investment at Invesco Perpetual Neil Woodford and Renshaw Bay head William Winters – were each awarded a CBE. MBEs went to entrepreneurs Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish who founded online bespoke shopping firm Not on the High Street.
