HM Treasury in Guernsey deal

HM Treasury last night confirmed it was poised to strike a deal to make people who store money in Guernsey disclose it to the taxman. The deal will see British citizens who hold money in Guernsey have to report to the Treasury any unpaid tax or face a penalty, similar to an agreement signed with the Isle of Man last month. A spokeswoman told City A.M.: “These discussions are... at an advanced stage.”
