FORMER heavyweight champion David Haye has apologised after cancelling his highly-anticipated comeback fight with Manuel Charr due to a hand injury.
The 32-year-old was set to take on Charr at the Manchester Arena on
29 June, but has been forced to cancel after suffering an injury to his left hand on Sunday evening, which is set to keep him out of action for four weeks.
“I apologise to Manuel Charr and to everybody involved with the promotion,” he said. “But most of all I want to say sorry to the thousands of fans who bought tickets to the fight. I felt it was important to let them know about the cancellation as soon as possible.”
