Hammerson occupancy level falls

Hammerson, the Anglo-French retail property developer, yesterday reported that occupancy fell 1.1 per cent in the quarter as tough trading conditions and retail failures weighed on the group. It signed 46 new leases in the period for 177,604 square feet worth an annual rental income of £2.4m.
